tears

before i leave, i’ll say goodbye                     

catch the tears falling from my eyes 

i look at life and wonder why            

we are all born, only to die                               the pain i see is all around                             

all things that matter fall apart          

we all are born to face the pain         

the endless sadness fills our days                              

but i have found a way to cope          

i pray to god to give me hope            

i’ve come to know both wrong and right

i’ve left the dark; embraced the light   so, when i leave, i will not cry           

i’ll smile, as i close my eyes  

where i will go is bright and clear     

no longer do i live in fear
